This is not a complete build log. Please clean the port and re-try the build. Attach the new main.log if it fails to build.

True, but gcc-4.0 may just be too old to build this. If a clean build with gcc-4.0 doesn't work, try blacklisting gcc-4.0:

sudo port clean tuntaposx
sudo port install tuntaposx compiler.blacklist=gcc-4.0

Thanks for your replies.

Macports doesn't seem to see gcc4.2 installed in /usr (which I "enabled" by using gcc_select).

Building gcc4.2 via macports would require days here, and it wouldn't make any sense provided that I already have the binaries.

sudo port install tuntaposx compiler.blacklist=gcc-4.0

Replying to interflap@…:

Macports doesn't seem to see gcc4.2 installed in /usr (which I "enabled" by using gcc_select).

Ports do not care which compiler is selected via port select. If a one does, it is a bug that should be fixed.

Building gcc4.2 via macports would require days here, and it wouldn't make any sense provided that I already have the binaries.

We don’t support building with compilers that are not provided by Xcode or by ports.

So what is the status of this bug report? Do we need to do anything?

I updated the port (see #47327), but I didn't do any testing under 10.5 (or 10.4).

The least we could do is blacklist a compiler, but that's tricky to do if we don't have any Tiger installation where we could test (or a Tiger user to do that for us).

Still bombs for me under Tiger.

Resolution: invalid
Status: newclosed

The port has been updated since this report. If this problem still exists, someone needs to attach a complete build log with the current version of the port.
