Please update gpg2 too, as requested by feranick in the original bug report (Edit: just realized that the subject was specifically for gpg-agent and the description wasn't too clear, but there's a compatibility problem now). scdaemon is part of the gpg-agent package. I just spent several hours tracking down why scdaemon wouldn't work anymore with gpg2 2.0.19 (the binary was not at the expected path). Eventually I saw this change which breaks compatibility between gpg-agent from GnuPG 2.0.19 with gpg2 from GnuPG 2.0.21.
2013-04-01 NIIBE Yutaka <gniibe@fsij.org> scd: move SCDaemon to libexecdir. * common/homedir.c (gnupg_module_name): It's now libexecdir.
