Description
Removes gtk-osx-application patches, they introduce a bug with menu accelerators that freezes the application; it is being investigated upstream. Gtk3 developer informs me that although gtk-osx-application can work with Gtk3, it is not the preferred approach.

What happens if gtk3 +quartz is installed? Will this port still work?

Absolutely. The +quartz variant simply tried to include a patch to add gtk-osx-application functionality to Gnumeric, however it also causes problems, and is considered obsolete by the Gtk developers.
