Description
The current google-perftools at 2.0 runs afoul of this issue, which makes it unusable: https://code.google.com/p/gperftools/issues/detail?id=413.
A fix has been committed: https://code.google.com/p/gperftools/source/detail?r=819a2b051f1dba9526f2338098fff6dd1700bdb6
However, that fix has not yet landed in a release. I believe that cherry-picking that patch into the google-perftools patch set would make tcmalloc useable again.

The google-perftools
port was obsoleted: [91258495fc/macports-ports]. Its replacement, the gperftools
port, is at version 2.7, which contains the commit fixing the issue. I believe this ticket can be closed.
