Description
As of October 9, 2013, all outstanding issues cited in lang/go/Portfile around building with clang appear to have been addressed. Go version 1.2rc2 builds and tests fine, including handling code mentioned in https://code.google.com/p/go/issues/detail?id=6368. Portfile diff attached.
The major benefit is not having to build llvm and llvm-gcc.

Thanks for the patch, but the go port will only be updated to the final 1.2 version, not to a RC version.
In the future please don't use arbitrary keyword (have a look at DraftKeywordGuidelines).
