Description
xcrysden is a scientific visualization program. For some reason it does not work with the current versions of mesa on MacOS (though it does on Linux), only version 7.0.2 would work, so I have created a new port mesa702 to be used with the new port I am creating for xcrysden.

If we're going to add this (which I would prefer to avoid, but if it's unavoidable then it's unavoidable), please let us know what revision of the mesa portfile this is based on, so that we can "svn copy" that revision of mesa as the basis for mesa702 and preserve its history. For example the portfile refers to this github gist from January 2012; presumably it was based on an earlier revision of the mesa port. Actually it looks like the earliest version of the mesa port that we ever had was 7.2...
A line "dist_subdir mesa" should be added so that the distfiles for mesa702 go to the same directory as distfiles for mesa.

I looked through the svn revisions of the mesa Portfile, and I am not sure which version seems most like the Portfile I started with from the github gist. It seems to have a mix of things present and absent in various revisions. I don't understand their significance enough to know whether they should apply to mesa 7.0.2 as well. See comments in #41320 about the problems with XCrySDen on newer mesa versions.

No longer necessary for XCrySDen. Version with patches to allow use of current Mesa version committed in r140738.
xcrysden is submitted in ticket #41320.
