I get an error also on Mavericks (10.8.5) and ports version 2.2.1

My error suggests that it might be a compiler issue? Do we need to force gcc vs. clang or something?

john, your error is different from trg818's; please file a new ticket.

I had wanted to update mono to 3.2.5, to see if that would fix the problem, however it was packaged incorrectly and is therefore not buildable; hopefully the next version will be buildable on Mavericks at least. If problems on other OS X versions remain at that time we can report them to the developers of mono. (You can report them there now, it's just possible they'll say it was already fixed in a newer version.)

Mavericks is 10.9. Mountain Lion is 10.8.

Thanks Ryan;

Actually I'm getting the same error on both Mountain Lion and Mavericks. (Mountain Lion on my work macbookpro, and Mavericks on my personal one)

I'll submit a new ticket Thanks!

Updated mono to 3.2.5 in r114480. Did that help?

I tested on Leopard i386; still fails the same way. Please report the problem to the developers of mono so they can fix it. Please give us the URL of your bug report once you've filed it.

In another ticket the developers stated Mono 3 requires OS X 10.7 or newer. Sorry.
