vim @7.4.052_0+huge+python27 build failure

When I try to build vim from macport, it seems like macport fails to fetch the latest version of the vim port: Tried cleaning the port with $sudo port clean --dist vim but still fails.

I am using macport version 2.2.1, standard macport setup.

MacPorts failed to fetch a pre-compiled binary. This is normal; you selected the +python27 variant, which is not on by default for this port, and our buildbot only builds default variants. It's also not a problem that there was no binary; in that case, MacPorts will fetch the source and build it. That failed, and that is a problem.

Please attach enormous output instead of pasting it into the ticket. I've converted your main.log to an attachment.

In the future remember to Cc the port maintainer(s) when you file a ticket so that they are informed about it. I've assigned the ticket to vim's maintainer now.

I can't reproduce this issue on OS X 10.9 Mavericks with Xcode 5.0.2. I just built vim @7.4.052_0+huge+python27 and it worked fine for me. I assume the issue only exists in OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or with a specific Xcode release. What is your Xcode version (use xcodebuild -version to find out)?

Also, is this actually related to +python27? Could you please try to build vim without this variant using sudo port build vim?

I am using 10.8 Mountain Lion Xcode version 5.0.2.
