Description
I have both mysql5 and mysql_select installed, but mysql5 isn't an option to select:
$ port select --list mysql Available versions for mysql: none (active)

That's correct. mysql5 is the old port for MySQL 5. Now there are new ports: mysql51, mysql55, mysql56, percona, mariadb. If you want to select, use one of those. The old mysql5 port is not being enhanced further and will eventually be deleted.
