I add texlive-latex-extra
as port dependencies and it works fine. But I don't know if it's the right way of doing deps

Summary: | latex2man: dependent on texlive-latex-extra → latex2man @1.23: imprecise dependency on texlive |
url.sty
is provided by texlive-latex-recommended
.
% find /opt/local -name url.sty -exec port provides {} + /opt/local/share/texmf-texlive/tex/latex/url/url.sty is provided by: texlive-latex-recommended
I assume you have texlive +minimal
or texlive +basic
installed. The default is texlive +medium
, which installs texlive-latex-recommended
, which is probably why no one’s noticed this before.
For now, I’ll just add the dependency on texlive-latex-recommended
. More generally, I don’t like the ham-handed dependency on texlive
and will try to shave it down soon.

Now that I look at it, latex2man
accommodates non-MacPorts TeX installations with a bin:tex:texlive
dependency. I’m not sure how to add an analogous url.sty
dependency. I’ll have to come back to this later.
This is the full log of the installation.
