The error message is: 

sudo port install expat
--->  Verifying checksums for expat
Error: org.macports.checksum for port expat returned: expat-2.1.0.tar.gz does not exist in /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/expat
Please see the log file for port expat for details:
    /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_textproc_expat/expat/main.log
