py27-pygtk @2.24.0_3: build fails after upgrade to py27-gobject @2.90.4

I tried to install py27-pygtk after I upgraded from py27-gobject @2.28.6_0 to py27-gobject @2.90.4_0. The build failed with this message:

This was fixed when py-gobject was downgraded back to py27-gobject @2.28.6_2: py27-pygtk builds again. Please close this ticket.
