Failed to configure ghostscript on Mavericks

Description

I am running 10.9. The macports was installed from scratch after deleting it following the instructions from : ​http://guide.macports.org/chunked/installing.macports.uninstalling.html

I tried to install texlive and the installation stopped with the error: 

Error: Failed to configure ghostscript, consult /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_print_ghostscript/ghostscript/work/ghostscript-9.10/config.log
Error: org.macports.configure for port ghostscript returned: configure failure: command execution failed
Error: Failed to install ghostscript

You have provided no useful information to debug anything. clean the ghostscript port and try again, if it fails, attach the complete main.log file and re-open the ticket.
