You might want to consider to mark your port as openmaintainer to allow MacPorts devs to commit small fixes without prior consultation. Of course that's entirely up to you as maintainers, though. See ​http://guide.macports.org/#project.update-policies for more information.

We have a qmake portgroup that could simplify some of the things you do here: browser:trunk/dports/_resources/port1.0/group/qmake-1.0.tcl​
