Description
So a few weeks ago I tried installing a port on my mac but when it scanned the libraries for linking errors afterward, it told me that some ports were broken. It tried to fix them all, but it eventually got down to their dependancy, tiff, which apparently wasn't working properly. After trying to clean tiff and uninstall and reinstall macports, I found out how to forcefully uninstall it. Now, when I try to reinstall tiff, all it says is this:
$ sudo port install tiff ---> Computing dependencies for tiff ---> Building tiff Error: org.macports.build for port tiff returned: command execution failed Please see the log file for port tiff for details: /opt/local/var/macports/logs/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_graphics_tiff/tiff/main.log To report a bug, follow the instructions in the guide: http://guide.macports.org/#project.tickets Error: Processing of port tiff failed
I tried looking in the log file, and it seems to all come down to unidentified symbols for architecture x86_64, but everything below that is greek to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Oh, I responded to your previous comment, but it now looks like for some reason it got removed...
Anyway, all I said was that cleaning the port didn't work, and neither did cleaning anything that depends on it, probably because the port isn't installed anymore in the first place. I finally fixed this problem a few days ago by re-installing OS X and then trying to install tiff again. Now everything seems to be more or less functional.

You probably have something in /usr/local/ interfering or possibly did not follow the migration instructions. This log is not from a clean build, so it's hard to tell.
clean
the port and try again and attach the new complete main.log if it fails again.
