Description
The dependency on esound is unnecessary. It drags in a number of unnecessary ports. If esound is already present, libmikmod will pick it up and will use it; otherwise, it's a superfluous dependency. For those of us who don't have and don't want the GNOME framework, it'd be much nicer just to have libmikmod use its fallback.

Created an attachment (id=3178) [edit] Simple patch to remove libmikmod's superfluous esound dependency
I committed an update to libmikmod to 3.2.0 and also made esound a variant. So it won't be installed by default unless a user requests it with +esound
