In the PortGroup qt5, clang is set as the whitelist compiler, and, at least on my machine, Qt builds using
/Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Toolchains/XcodeDefault.xctoolchain/usr/bin/clang++
If you could please be a little more specific on the problem, I would appreciate it.

I also want to state that I successfully built qt5-mac on Mavericks 10.9.2 with and without parallel building.
