Note that a "request" ticket type is for requesting a new port.

This port should use the compilers portgroup.

Thank you for the suggestion! Do you know if there are some documents of the compilers portgroup (in order not to depend on internal symbols)?

Besides looking at the source code for it and other ports that use it, no. You can look at the julia portfile among others.

I'm Cc'ing the author of the compilers portgroup for possible comment.

As suggested by mf2k, the portfile migrated to the compiler portgroup, which supports gcc-4.9!
