Thanks. I've been checking frequently if php56 had become final. Glad to see it's finally here.
I know php53 is EOL; the php53 port already prints notes to that effect. The php5 ports will be replaced by the php53 ports soon.

Most of the tickets I put in are for my own ports, so I forgot to add you to the CC.
I didn't submit a patch, as I wanted you to decide how to deal with the EOL'd port and the live check mechanism. However, I've locally built php56 and php56-apache2handler (against apache24-devel).
