Description (last modified by ryandesign (Ryan Carsten Schmidt))
I'm getting the following error when installing dbus-1.8.8_0:
grep: /opt/local/lib/libgio-2.0.la: No such file or directory sed: /opt/local/lib/libgio-2.0.la: No such file or directory libtool: link: `/opt/local/lib/libgio-2.0.la' is not a valid libtool archive make[3]: *** [libdbus-testutils.la] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_dbus/dbus/work/dbus-1.8.8/test' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_dbus/dbus/work/dbus-1.8.8/test' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_dbus/dbus/work/dbus-1.8.8' make: *** [all] Error 2 make: Leaving directory `/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_dbus/dbus/work/dbus-1.8.8' Command failed: cd "/opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_devel_dbus/dbus/work/dbus-1.8.8" && /usr/bin/make -j2 -w all
I found another ticket with as similar error, and it was resolved by cleaning and attempting to install again. I've tried this with no success.
Thanks for any help!

I did everything in this process except uninstall and reinstall all ports. I didn't see this wiki page, but I'm doing this right now. Results to follow.

When upgrading from Mountain Lion or earlier to Mavericks or later, uninstalling and reinstalling all ports is especially necessary to avoid errors about missing .la files.

I am assuming you are encountering this problem after upgrading to Yosemite (or perhaps Mavericks) from Mountain Lion (or earlier). Did you follow wiki:Migration and uninstall and reinstall all ports after upgrading?
