Hmm, seems a bit early, as kgrapheditor doesn't run dot! Shouldn't that be fixed first?
I must be doing something wrong here. Can't you reproduce the error on your end?

Committed in r129386, but kept OPEN, as calling dot still fails for me.

Herewith I verify that this patch works fine on KDE 4.13.3 on OSX 10.9.5.
However, when I try to create a new graph, I get the error message: "Unable to start dot."
