Can not find Lapack package

I was trying to install the Lapack package using Macports but find it is not an available ports right now. Would you have plan to add this important package to the ports list in near future? Thank you very much.

Lapack as provided by netlib.org, is a reference implementation and not optimized at all. Therefore, it is of limited value for practical uses.

However you have the following options:

• Mac OS X comes already with optimized Lapack libraries in the Accelerate Framework.
• Macports provides the ports atlas and openblas, which are optimized.

So, if there is no good reason I missed to provide netlib Lapack, I would propose to close this as invalid.
