Description
Is it possible to add a Python 3.4 subport for py-matplotlib-basemap
?
This was already discussed in this issue starting here: https://trac.macports.org/ticket/45584#comment:6
But it wan't 100% clear (at least to me) what exactly should be done to make this happen.
Before I saw this other issue I asked in the basemap
issue tracker if they support Python 3 in version 1.0.7, because it wasn't clear from their REAME or the PyPI page:
https://github.com/matplotlib/basemap/issues/176

I haven't tested it myself, but the basemap dev commented that it should work with Python 3: https://github.com/matplotlib/basemap/issues/176#issuecomment-71399508

Okay, thanks for digging into this. I added py34 subport in r46665.

Seems to work fine on Python 3 for me.
Thanks, Petr!
Well, I for some reason always assumed it was not Py3 compatible, but it now does not look that obvious to me. Have you tested it? ~petr
