Thanks a lot for submission, and sorry for the way too long delay. Now, some tickets get forgotten in the sea of many, so it usually helps to ping the mailing list.
I only noticed this one because I was looking for py-django, but it was easy to fix this one on the way. In case you are still using MacPorts, you could give the pull request a try.
