It build here on Yosemite without any issues - appears to run OK as well. I added a missing dependency in r133416

OK, I've committed a change to remove the t/t file - it works here - can you update and try it? I've also updated to 0.9.21

David--thanks for the bug report.
I am totally new at this, and I can't say that your attached log file gave me any good ideas about why there's a problem. I've heard a rumor that there are problems building on Yosemite, but your log file says you have Mavericks (as I do).
Clearly the key line is this:
Did you do a "port clean demeter" first? Did you try installing demeter-devel ? (The latter should not actually help, because at present the two ports point to the same tagged release at github, but I'm just wondering.) Do you have any other ideas?
