Hm. I don’t think Apple provides Java headers anymore, so you’ll have to install the ​Oracle JDK yourself. I don’t know which version, though.

    33It was not easy for this 74 yr old to start the installation of digiKam into my MacBook Pro. Somehow I managed to start the process when suddenly it stopped. This is the message the installer displayed:
