Description
This sounds to be a good piece of software. But I am not sure if it is specific to linux. If not, it would be better to port it to MacPorts.

Take it with a grain of salt, but the WIkipedia article on the Linux Userland Filesystem says that development ceased after FUSE was added to the kernel. We do carry various FUSE implementations, but I’m not sure what state they’re in.

I downloaded the source code for the latest version of lufs, 0.9.7, and ran the configure script:
This version was released 2003-10-30, so the software is clearly abandoned. So no, it cannot be added to MacPorts.
