BTW, should we perhaps have a cmake-devel, in order to allow for smooth transitions?

Working on this; "selfupdate" running still; lots of ICU updates.
I've thought about a cmake-devel port before; should be pretty easy to add as a subport to cmake. How often should it be updated? CMake's GIT repo is updated almost daily (not including the "CMake Nightly Date Stamp" ones). Maybe once a week is often enough for most folks? Seems like there's usually not much Sat/Sun work, so Monday mornings?
