Replying to petr@…:
I just see that both of the maintainers have no commit rights. I would suggest to add
openmaintainer
. Alternatively add someone with commit rights, mojca?
I have no opinion about openmaintainer
. That's up to Chris (and Mattia in case that he's still active) to decide.
While I have nothing against being added as a secondary maintainer (I'm already maintainer of ROOT6), there's no pressing need to do so. Chris follows the development very closely and is always up-to-date and submits tickets long before I would ever notice a new release. And very often other committers close his tickets anyway (before I have time to look into it).
I don't see why Chris wouldn't deserve commit rights anyway.
I would also like to figure out if Mattia is still around. I don't remember seeing any contribution from him.

Hi to all, I'm really sorry that I stopped my updates on root but in last four years I changed my team at university and I'm working for a company now. In the mean time I saw the great work done by Chris and he is the active maintainer of the port so the decision is up to Chris.
Thank you very much for all, I hope that in the near future I will commit other ports.
Mattia
