Description
The wireshark port is missing the ChmodBPF startup item that allows an authorized user read access to the capture devices without having to run as root.
From the standalone installer’s description:
This installs a launch daemon (org.wireshark.ChmodBPF.plist) that changes the group permissions of each BPF device to allow access for the "access_bpf" group. It creates the "access_bpf" group if it doesn't exist and adds the current user to the group.

I read also #26293 but I can't understand why is not fixed yet. it is very annoying to install wireshark3 and have this problem.

looks like the maintainer put forth his suggested fix for this years ago in that ticket and asked for help, but nothing much happened after that.
