I am unable to select a version of Ruby installed by MacPorts.
[~] chris at CWB-MacBook $ sudo port select ruby Password: Available versions for ruby: none (active) ruby20 ruby22 [~] chris at CWB-MacBook $ sudo port select ruby22 Warning: Unable to get active selected version: The specified group 'ruby22' does not exist. Error: The 'list' command failed: The specified group 'ruby22' does not exist.
Using OS X 10.11 Public Beta.

The correct command is:
sudo port select ruby ruby22
or:
sudo port select --set ruby ruby22
