Description
If practical, adding a startup item to pulseaudio that would start it up automatically at user login would make the port more useful for those who want/need to use it on a regular basis.
For example, GNOME uses it as its default low-level audio API. See https://developer.gnome.org/platform-overview/stable/tech-pulseaudio.html.en .

It appears to start on demand so perhaps this is not necessary.

I think that's the preferred way of using it by upstream. (Or really coupled with policykit
... if that's still accurate.)

I'll leave this to you. Fine with me if you want to close this ticket as 'wont fix'

That's a good idea in general, but I don't know how well that would work via launchd, mainly because PA sets custom environment variables IIRC. I will have to investigate.
