Description
Installing the pidgin port with the +finch variant does not appear to install a finch executable anymore.
OS X 10.10.4 XCode 6.4 (6E35b)

Confirmed. Rather than try and fix the variant logic, I'm going to try and rewrite the port to remove the +finch and +finch_only variants entirely and add a finch subport instead. This should make things easier to understand and hopefully will produce the desired result -- a finch binary that will install in parallel with pidgin and libpurple if requested. Thanks for the ticket.

Is that something trivial, or should I figure out how to build an old version until you have time for the fix?

Not entirely trivial but I should have a fix ready and tested by the end of the week.

Fixed committed in r139801. finch is now a subport of pidgin. Ticket reporter says its working for him (via email when trac was down).
In the future, please Cc the port maintainers (
port info --maintainers pidgin
), if any.
