Description
Interaction with a GtkEntry crashes gtk2 applications (I tried with zim and gtk-theme-switch2). The issue is described in an upstream ticket at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753992 (for gtk2 and gtk3) which also includes a patch that I could build a working gtk2 version with which fixes my issues. So maybe that patch could go in the Portfile before this is fixed in gtk2 itself.

Sure. It is basically the patch from the ticket that needs to be applied with a little path change.

The gtk2 port has no maintainer. Perhaps you could prepare a patch for the port and attach it to this ticket?
