Hadoop requires java 1.6

Java is currently 1.8 for Yosemite and beyond and the latest hadoop running on Linux will use that version. Can we get hadoop updated to use the latest java version for MacPorts?

In the future, please Cc the port maintainers (port info --maintainers hadoop), if any.

I let the build run for about 12 hours and then killed it. It was running my MBP at full 8 cores busy with the fans running for the entire time.

I then tried the command that was 'running' by hand and got the following:

looks like a big, complex port with lots of moving parts that hasn't been updated in some time, and has no maintainer. It's looking for a parent... are you up for the task? If you use it, and know how it works (and is supposed to work) you might be just the person !

I don't care if this is closed at this point. We no longer support Hadoop on the main Linux project so I don't need to mirror/parallel develop for Hadoop.
