I can not reproduce the building error. Initial testing of osxfuse 2.8.0 with sshfs resulted in an issue with Finder (on El Capitan). Issue being that I'm unable to delete files and directories.
This issue has been resolved in osxfuse 2.8.1:
"Starting with OS X 10.11 DesktopServicesHelper, which is running as root, calls stat(2) on behalf of Finder when trying to delete a directory. Blocking this request would result in Finder aborting the delete process."

This port requires a bit of an update. My attempts resulted in a "mismatch with FUSE library". Guess it has something to do with the signed kext?
