Did you read wiki:FAQ#checksums and try to figure out why this happened? Your terminal output above and the log file you attached do not contain the information needed to diagnose this (i.e. which server the file was downloaded from).

port command pulled the original from -- https://github.com/mongodb/mongo-tools/tarball/r3.1.9
Found another one here: https://distfiles.macports.org/mongo-tools/. Copied it to the /opt/local/var/macports/distfiles/mongo-tools folder and reran install. Worked fine.

Ok thanks, I can confirm that. The one on github has changed quite a bit since we originally got it. I'll have to investigate why that happened.
