This looks like #45445 which was supposed to have been fixed. Are you on OS X 10.10.5?

The workaround is to open Xcode.app, then close it. See wiki:YosemiteProblems#iphonesimulator

Thank you for your message. On my machine is installed xcode 6.2. I have tried the suggested workaround (running xcode) and it worked. Thank you. Usually I don't bother running xcode, I use Vim!

Thanks a lot! alva
