Description
Trying to launch the latest version (nmap @7.00) of zenmap under El Capitan I get this error message...
Error creating the per-user configuration directory
There was an error creating the directory u'/Users/fred/.zenmap' or one of the files in it. The directory is created by copying the contents of '/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/share/zenmap/config'. The specific error was
"[Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/share/zenmap/config'"
Zenmap needs to create this directory to store information such as the list of scan profiles. Check for access to the directory and try again.
The directory /Users/fred/.zenmap already exists with contents that appear to be from the previous version. Looking in /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/share/zenmap/ there is nothing named config. The zenmap directory is empty. So obviously nothing to copy!
