Hello. I am attempting to install ncarg via macports. The install fails when attempting to fetch HDF-EOS2.19v1.00.tar.Z.
Error: org.macports.fetch for port hdfeos returned: fetch failed
The log for the ncarg port install is attached.

That appears to be the main.log file of hdfeos. Please attach the main.log file of ncarg.

Thanks for reporting. I can't connect to the FTP server either. I wrote a message to the help desk of hdfeos.

Hi,
I tried to install ncarg today and got the same error message. Is this a problem with the server or a bug in ncarg? Can we download hdfeos separately and then re-run the install?

As comment 2 above, I cannot download the hdfeos source from NASA's FTP server.

I got a response from the help desk. I'll see what I can do while the server is down.
Hi Takeshi,
The FTP site is not operated by our company but we know it was recently closed down. When we find out a new means to download the source code, we will let you know.
