I think that this is maybe the wrong approach and it is better to have the Python and Lua libraries as subports. I'll submit a new patch leaving out the Python and Lua parts, then I'll open a new ticket for Python and Lua support.
(Could anyone please remove "; enable Python 2.7 and Lua libraries" from the title? Thanks.)
