qt4-mac @4.8.7 Missing Framework

Description
The qt4-mac port does not install as a Framework in /opt/local/Library/Frameworks/ as I has expected. Nor is a variant available that does install the framework.
The (now deprecated) qt4-mac-devel port that did support Frameworks. Since the qt4-mac port now replaces the devel port, I was hoping for a similar support.
Is there another way I should go about installing Qt4 as a framework using the qt4-mac port?

Try "port contents qt4-mac" to see where things are installed. Frameworks should be in /opt/local/libexec/qt4/Library/Frameworks/ for a default MacPorts install.
