Looks good to me, could you add a comment as to why you blacklisted gcc-4.2 in the Portfile?

gcc-4.2 causes problems with one of the dependencies (ALPSCore, some bug with templates in gcc-4.2) and is already blacklisted in ALPSCore. If we ever get ALPSCore to work with it we will take it out here too. Do you want this comment directly in the portfile?

Sorry for the delay, this ticket slipped under my radar for some time. I tested the port and it builds and installs fine, I have a last minor nicpick before committing: Is there a reason why this is named ALPS-maxent with the dash and ALPSCore is camelCase? Should we rename this port as camelcase for consistency?
