Can't install amarok on macOS Sierra 10.12

MacPorts for Sierra installed. Installing of amarok fails:

That explanation doesn't make any sense.

The error you encountered was:

symlink: /opt/local/var/macports/sources/rsync.macports.org/release/tarballs/ports/kde/amarok/work -> /opt/local/var/macports/build/_opt_local_var_macports_sources_rsync.macports.org_release_tarballs_ports_kde_amarok/amarok/work: permission denied

I don't understand why you encountered a permission problem there, unless you did not use "sudo" when you ran the "port install" command.
