osxfuse fail to install on High Sierra

Description

When I try to install osxfuse in MacOS High Sierra it fails: 

Totoro-2:~ pvarela$ sudo port install osxfuse

This appears to be a duplicate issue to ​https://trac.macports.org/ticket/54939

Logfile indicates problem is with ruby BridgeSupport which is what is addressed in above ticket.
