Description
As noted in the commit discussion, Sundials 3 breaks compatibility.
A possible solution: create a port sundials2, which conflicts with sundials.
Octave and PETSc can then depend on sundials2.

I agree that a sundials2 port would be the best way to go, until the dependent ports support sundials 3.x.
