sundials2 @2.7.0: +accelerate and +openblas variants don't work

Description

Neither the +accelerate (default) variant nor the +openblas variant result in sundials2 being installed with lapack/blas support: 

-- A library with BLAS API not found. Please specify library location.
-- LAPACK requires BLAS
-- A library with LAPACK API not found. Please specify library location.
-- Looking for LAPACK libraries... FAILED

This is required by cantera, one of the two ports that depends on sundials2.

I haven't tested the +atlas variant yet because atlas takes so long to build.

I cannot reproduce this problem.
There is a possibility that it was inadvertently fixed in the last three years.
Can anyone narrow down when this error happens?
