I was thinking that it was a bit early to start removing py34 subports. Many ports have +python34 variants as yet and we still haven't gotten rid of all the py26's and py33's yet.

However after looking at the state of the effected ports, Frank, I think you were right in the first place. py34-prov has other dependencies that no longer support python34 either and updating py34-sparqlwrapper brings in new dependencies that don't yet support python36 (according to pypi). So if people think it's time to drop python34 then that may be the easier path at this point.

the py34 subport have been made obsolete for the listed dependents of py34-isodate by now; close this ticket?

Agreed

As someone who prefers removing older pythons, why not simply remove the py34-prov, py34-rdflib and py34-sparqlwrapper sub-ports? It looks like py-sparqlwrapper needs an update and to add py36 anyway.
