Description
This issue has already been reported, but I am creating a new ticket as the others appear to be dead. Attempting to start Inkscape from the command line results in the message "Nothing to do!" I am running OS X 10.13.5.
I have set the following variables in my .bash_profile:
export LANG=en_US export LC_ALL=$LANG
I have run:
sudo port load dbus
I have tried uninstalling all ports and reinstalling Inkscape from scratch. This did not help.
I am happy to attach any logs that you would like to see. I am eager to help you debug this issue.

Since this port has now been updated to 1.1.2, please let us know if this is still an issue.
If so, we'll reopen.

Works fine for me. Perhaps a X11 problem. Do you have XQuartz (or equivalently xorg-server) installed?
