treecc @0.3.10: error: treecc.texi:29: misplaced {

Description (last modified by kencu (Ken))
treecc fails to build with current makeinfo
versions due to ancient texi
in treecc.texi
.
deactivating texinfo
lets the old makeinfo
on some systems build it.
Otherwise the treecc.texi
file could be fixed, or that part of the docs could be disabled from building.
treecc
is old, and hasn't been updated in 10 years. Upstream looks dormant AFAICT.

The newer makeinfo
installed by the texinfo
port is barfing on the old texi
file in treecc (which is ancient software).
If you just deactivate texinfo
you can build it on snowleopard, which I see you are running:
sudo port deactivate texinfo
$ port -v installed treecc The following ports are currently installed: treecc @0.3.10_1 (active) platform='darwin 10' archs='x86_64' date='2018-12-05T12:26:23-0800'
treecc hasn't been updated since ice was delivered by truck. I just don't have the enthusiasm to fix the texi file.
